This book contains a collection of musical studies based upon the ever-increasing literature for timpani. It is divided into three sections: exercises for two drums, exercises for three drums, and exercises for four drums. An abudance of musical elements are contained these studies, including frequent dynamic changes, glissandi, musical expressions, tuning changes, artificial rhythms, meter changes, and chords of from two to four notes.
