Description
This fine gold mounted William Salchow Viola bow was the 17th bow made in 1965, commissioned by Jerome J. Lipson, a Curtis Graduate who played in the Stockbridge String Quartet and was a member of THE Boston Symphony from 1946 – 1991.
54 years later, William’s grandson, Isaac Salchow made me a certificate after leaving his own mark: a beautiful silk on silk lapping, finished with a lizard leather thumb grip.
Simply exquisite.
