Description

warm, broad, open

Great for orchestral or chamber playing!

Bodo Vosshenrich: I studied violin making from 1996 to 2000 in the Mittenwald school of violin making in Bavaria. In 2000 I was employed in the workshop of Marc Rosenstiel, former workshop chief of Etienne Vatelot, in Grenoble. From 2001 to 2003 I worked in Paris, for Bernard Sabatier and Stephan von Baer. After Paris, my road led me to the Southwest of France, where I worked for Pierre-Yves Dalle-Carbonare, in Toulouse. After having obtained my master craftsman title in Germany in spring 2007, I moved to another village near Toulouse and opened my own workshop in Villemur-sur-Tarn.

“Bodo’s instruments’ strict and disciplined design is based on the Mittenwald flair, their originality and personality on contemporary French violin making. The varnish ranges from beautiful deep copper-orange to warm reddish brown shades. Flattering and generous sound. Well-balanced and harmonious composition with ample scope.”
