Description
Dreadbox Raindrops is a hybrid delay, pitch shifter and reverb pedal that takes the concept of short echos to a different level. Equipped with multiple delay stages and different chips, Raindrops allows you to travel into three different play modes. In each different play mode you can have a whole new experience and fresh soundscapes, from simple short echoes to long, dirty and lo-fi delays, and from simple pitch-shifting bursts to extensive reverbs.
- Delay, pitch shifter and reverb pedal
- Hybrid circuit with multiple delay stages and chips
- Delay times from 50ms to 1 sec with tap tempo
- Delay times above 700ms delays start to become lo-fi and some dirt is introduced into the repeats
- Three different algorithms: modulated delay, pitch shifter delay, large reverb
- Allows you to save a preset on each algorithm
- True stereo in and out
Modulated delay
Using this algorithm, the delay time is modulated by an LFO. In Mode 1 the CONTROL knob sets LFO rate, while in Mode 2 it sets LFO depth.
Pitch-shifted delay
This algorithm has a pitch shifter as its post effect. In Mode 1 the CONTROL knob sets the pitch from 0 to 12 semitones, while in Mode 2 it sets the pitch shift amount.
Large reverb
Here a long-tailed reverb is added to the delay signal. In Mode 1 the CONTROL knob sets the reverb decay time, while in Mode 2 it sets the reverb mix.
