Description
This unlabelled early 20th century French Violin is a fine example of craftsmanship from post WWI France. This violin features very nice tonewoods, with a nicely flamed 2 piece maple back, and a very evenly grained spruce top. This violin is setup with ebony Hill style fittings including Knilling Perfection pegs which make tuning breeze. Tonally this violin is very strong and doesn’t have the more nasally sound quality that some French instruments have. It’s very easy to play and would make a fantastic advanced or professional instrument for anyone seeking a very well taken care of mature instrument. This instrument came to us from a retired luthier who used it as his loaner and guest instrument for when he we working on a professional players violin or had a house guest who needed to play.
