Description
The Axis guitar features a beautiful quilt or flame maple veneer over a lightweight body. Two medium output custom DiMarzio humbuckers are mounted directly to the body for optimum resonance and signal response. This tonewood / pickup combination is a perfect recipe for hard edge rock tones, but also delivers a subtle dynamic response at lower volume levels when needed. The Axis asymmetric hard rock maple neck allows for comfortable hand positions across all 22 frets, while the double locking Music Man Floyd Rose tremolo keeps the guitar perfectly in tune.
This special edition is part of a 60 pc limited run commissioned by Willcutt Guitars. We flew to the Music Man factory in San Luis Obispo and picked out the finest flame Roasted Maple necks and lightweight bodies for this run. Features a special custom designed stain, Lava Burst, which is rich and elegant when applied to the grade A African Mahogany bodies and figured maple tops that we picked out. Only 5 Axis Quilts will be available in this run.
