Description

The Golden Bead Material introduces the child to the decimal system with concrete representations of the hierarchy of numbers. Quantity and place value is explored by the child through activities in the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

The set contains:

• 1 wooden box with 100 gold beads
• 1 wooden box with 45 gold bead bars of 10
• 1 wooden tray with 45 gold squares of 100
• 1 wooden tray with 9 gold cubes of 1000
• 3 wooden boxes containing one set of small numbers cards from 1 to 3000
• 1 wooden box containing one set of large numbers cards from 1 to 9000
• 4 small wooden trays for units
• 4 medium wooden trays
• 1 large wooden tray
