The KEX features a lightweight and resonant poplar body with body wings, and a through-body maple neck reinforced with a scarf joint and graphite to protect against climate-induced warping. The 12″-16″ compound radius bound laurel fingerboard, featuring 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays, offers a rounded profile near the nut for comfortable chording and riffing, gradually flattening towards the heel for precise shred articulation and smooth bends.
Equipped with high-output Jackson humbucking pickups, the KEX delivers a wide range of tones, from crunchy, full-bodied sounds perfect for lead work to assertive rhythm tones. The guitar’s dynamic control is managed through a three-way pickup toggle switch, single volume, and tone controls. The Floyd Rose® Special double-locking tremolo bridge ensures exceptional tuning stability and dynamic response.
