The top of the instrument vibrates in different places for different notes. It is most active here in the wolf register of the cello. Imagine this excited vibrating area like a trampoline. Rather than simply putting something in the center of the trampoline to stop it, the Krentz Modulator operates at the springs on the side. This changes the vibration instead of simply absorbing them.

To install:

1.Lay the instrument on its back. Magnetically join theInstallation Toolwith theModulator, looping around the Modulator.

2.Holding the ends of the installation tool, lower the Modulator into the instrument through theLeft F-holeuntil the Modulator is entirely inside and has cleared the faceboard.

3.Position the Modulator under the wood so it is only half visible through the f-hole. Place theBlack Outer Magneton the instrument top at least 3 inches away from f-hole and slowly slide it towards the spot over which the Modulator sits.

4.Once the outer magnet and the Modulator have magnetically connected, gently remove the installation tool. Holding the outer magnet only, slide the entire Modulator away from f-hole into the tone and wolf control area.
