M-06 Neo – Mandolin Pickup with Neo Jack Assembly for Adjustable Bridges and Gibson Style Tailpieces

The M-06 Neo is a continuation of our M-06 Seriesof mandolin pickups for adjustable bridged instruments – but with an entirely new type of jack assembly. The M-06 Neo allows you add a pickup system to your mandolin without having to change your bridge or make any invasive changes to your instrument and itfeatures our newNeo-Jackassembly that mounts from the existing Gibson style tailpiece.

Technical

The M-06 sensor is small and light in weight. Measuring only 1/4″ high, 1/8″ thick, and 1 1/2″ in length it does not affect the acoustic sound of the instrument and will work on all ‘normal’ adjustable mandolin bridges. It will also operate properly on an Original Brekke bridge as well.

The newNeo-Jack assembly is new and novel way of attaching a standard 1/4″ output jack to a mandolin or similar instrument. This jack assembly attaches to the instrument using the same two screws and screw holes through the instrument’s Gibson style tailpiece.It is not designed to fit on other types of tailpieces.

Note that the jack assembly extends 3/4″ (20mm) beyond the body line of the instrument. Please make sure that there is room in your case or that you can modify your case slightly to accommodate this.

Amplification

This pickup has been designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp when plugged into any ‘normal’ amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.) As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. If you require the ability to plug directly into a P.A. or mixer then you may wish to add our Mini Pre belt clipable preamp.
