Maker: Antonio Pedrinelli in Crespano, Italy about the middle of the 19th century.
from Certificate:
“The back is cut toward the slab from one piece of maple with prominent, wavy figure generally descending from treble to bass side. It is marked by a single dark, broad flame at the lower bass area.
The top is cut from two pieces of spruce, of mostly medium-width grain.
The sides are of maple with rather indistinct narrow flames.
The scroll is of maple similar to that of the back.
The varnish has a dark reddish-brown color.
The violin is after the model of Guarneri del Gesu.
