Handwoven on a traditional backstrap loom by our artisan partners in Sololá, this unique runner features a white maiz jaspe(ikat) motif on an indigo background. In thejaspe(ikat) technique, threads are carefully tied and dyed, then meticulously woven to reveal a design that is often inspired by nature. This table runner features a pattern ofmaiz, or corn, the most significant crop for the Maya people, representing the very gift of life from Mother Earth to her children. Woven from naturally dyed indigo threads and finished with hand-twisted fringe.
