Peruvian Ocarina with Necklace

Description

These striking, hand painted ocarinas are both decorative and functional instruments. They are based on traditional clay flutes of the Andes. Each is carefully tuned before firing and includes instructions and a cord necklace. The ocarina is an ancient instrument known among independent cultures in Asia and Mesoamerica for as long as 12,000 years ago. The portability of the hand-sized instrument made it popular from those early times to the present. They are provided through fair trade. Made in Peru.
