Being made of fine pernambuco, this bow is fantastic in both sound and playability. It offers an even sensation in legato playing and very crisp spiccato and sautillé. Martelé and staccato strokes are immediate, with the bow making it easy to catch the string right to the tip. The slightly longer leather grip gives does not feel too bulky in the hand and gives a little more purchase for the index finger. This is bow would be suitable for the advancing player, up to a tertiary to pre-professional level.
At Simply for Strings, each bow is hand-selected to exacting criteria, including examining the hair, camber of the bow and the bow’s ability and sound across different techniques.
Please note, each bow is unique and handcrafted – your new bow may look slightly different to the photograph used.
