Description
The Knight’s Adventure is in E minor and is written for a developing ensemble. The piece begins with suspenseful pizzicato in the lower strings before the 1st violins enter with a contrasting legato melody. As the piece develops, the melodies are shared among all the instruments and there are interesting countermelodies in all parts. The middle section modulates to G major and has some challenging quaver passages before the opening melody returns. This is an exciting piece that all students will enjoy!
